Our history
Moved by the dream of having an industry that produces drugs from domestic raw materials extracted from the nature, and with the support and scientific and technological expertise of the most important Brazilian universities and research institutes, Josimar Henrique da Silva, from the state of Pernambuco, in Brazil, opened the pharmaceutical company Hebron in the city of Caruaru – PE, in January 1990.
After more than 10 years of experience in the commercial and laboratory administration areas, Josimar decided to open a small drug wholesale. At the same time, with the business profit, he started to build his own laboratory, having eventually the help of the Northeast Development Authority (SUDENE) for the completion of his project. The construction started in June 1985 and took four years, after which Hebron was born. At that time, the country had a significant pharmaceutical industrial park, but the technology and research centers were restricted to the academic world.
Believing in the potential of Brazilian
researchers and scientists, and investing in research in Fine Chemicals,
Phytotherapy and Biotechnology, Hebron took the lead, and nowadays produces
high quality medicines in various medical specialties.
