From the years of 1990, Hebron® interacts with various Brazilian universities in search of therapeutic alternatives for several diseases. Since then, Hebron® discerned that the responsible exploitation of our ample biodiversity is the most viable path to the National Pharmaceutical Industry. It was (and it has been) exactly within this perception that through association with the most reputable Research Centers in Brazil, and some international, it has developed medicines that get to the market with the scientific surety and technical severity demanded by health authorities in current legislation in the country.
The Company has invested resources in the various phases of Research. The preclinical and clinical studies grant the developed medicines the efficiency and safety required by the consumer. For that matter, Hebron® has a management focusing at this aim: the Research, Development and Technological Innovation Department, which takes care of the preestablished pipeline and of Technological Innovation of existing products.
To mention just a few examples, Giamebil® is a medicine for giardia and ameba infections developed from a Brazilian plant to fill a prescription gap, since it treats ameba and giardia without collateral effects and without the effects resulting from imidazole upset shown in transnational company products. Florax® is another success case in the search for Brazilian solutions of Brazilian problems. Developed from yeast, the Saccharomyces cerevisiae, offers the best treatment alternative to replace intestinal microbiota, because it offers the live bud, in a tamponed media, which provides much higher activity than leiophylized products.
And for all these reasons one of our most forceful propositions is the Commitment to Research.
